One-Day Closure

We would like to inform you that Lafayette Veterinary Hospital will be temporarily closed on Monday, August 2nd, and will reopen on 8am Tuesday, August 3rd.

The veterinary field has been heavily impacted with the increase in new pets in our local community, as well as nationwide. We are hosting an internal event to help give our hard-working staff members a break, and to celebrate all of their accomplishments thus far. It is important to us that we support our staff during these tough times, so that we can continue to provide the best quality care for you and your pet(s).

If you are having an emergency during this time, we would like to direct you to the nearest available emergency 24 hour hospitals (Pacific Veterinary Emergency will also be closed, from 6pm on Sunday, August 1st, to 8am on Tuesday, August 3rd):

1.    SAGE Veterinary Centers Concord: 1410 Monument Blvd, Concord, CA 94520. Phone: (925) 627-7243

2.    OakVet Animal Specialty Hospital: 1133 7th St, Oakland, CA 94607. Phone: (510) 879-4888

COVID 19 Update

Starting on Sunday July 18th 2021, we will be returning to curbside service and closing our lobby doors for the time being (except in cases of life or death emergency for visitation). Please call the front desk when arriving and a technician will meet you at the door to take your pets inside. We will maintain communication by phone at all times as we work to mitigate each party's exposure.

Thank you for your assistance preventing further the spread of this disease. We look forward to getting this thing under control and going back to business as usual. We can get there if we all work together to follow the precautions above and STAY POSITIVE…but test Negative!

We will continue to monitor changing conditions throughout the county and state and, with your safety and that of our staff in mind, we will adjust accordingly, so please check back here for the latest information. Thank you for your continued understanding and support!
